A Pearl Comb for a Lady

A Pearl Comb for a Lady

Out of everything here, it’s probably the mismatched italics angles that annoys me the most.

You’re only saying that because there isn’t one on the cover.

D’you think that maybe they think that means…a comb? Not a hair-comb, but a COMB for hair?????

Maybe a contest to guess which one of these ladies is a Cosmopolitan cover scan.

Nah, I think they just left the photo that came with the frames in the frames. Instant family!

you’d think if the pearl comb was so important (like, Title of the Book important) to three generations of women, their portraits would show them wearing it. I think it would have been simpler to just use an image of a pearl comb find a background and typograpy that could so some of the heavy lifting

I pictured a pearl comb on a dressing table with the three framed images in a semi-circle around it, suggesting it’s been passed down.
Either that or the earlier two images, with the third as a reflection in the mirror as the current owner.
