Purchase (assuming since I don’t see a watermark) a perfectly decent image and muck it up with terrible text. Again.

To go back to one of my hobby horse rides, the title and author are illegible at thumbnail size, which is how people browsing the Amazon listings “Customers who bought this item also bought” etc. may first encounter this cover.
Screw at thumbnail size; they’re illegible more-than-full size, if you have my monitor, which is a high-end, larger monitor. So…just a horrible choice, both in color and in that godforsaken font.
Don’t get me wrong–and this shocks me, too–but I’ve seen a kids’ book interior that used Curlz where it was perfect. Simply perfect (I know, I know, but I swear, it’s true!).
HOWEVER, 99.99999999% of the time, CURLZ is the wrong choice and OMG, this is a horror novel, and they used CURLZ?
Cover Designer, get thee to the nunnery or the Abbey (for monks). Designeth thou not again.
Myk, mon sweetie–of what use is CURLZ, if no one can see it? The designer can’t have it both ways–can’t say it was intended as ironic horror if the would-be viewers can’t tell what the hell it is in the first place.

No no, Hitch, it’s brilliant! The use of curlz makes it all the more horrifying! Surely it was intended! Right?
Right?

Amirite?
Curlz font …
“unique festive touch”
“impudent, carefree”
wrong for a horror collection?
You just can’t handle the impudence.
That’s a typo, Nathan. He meant “imprudent.”
I have a co-worker who has all her email text in Comic Sans :O
As for this cover — Warren Zevon’s “Genius” album does it much better!
