To me, it looks like a Native American, possibly Haida, mask with traditional designs on it. Although traditionally they are in red and black, this one appears to be gold, gold and black. The dark area below NONE is the right eye.
Phil, you may be the only person on earth who would have recognized that. Honestly, it looked like bad furniture upholstery material to me. If it’s meant to be a Haida mask, she needs to step back and get more of it in the image.

Definitely agree that it’s hard to recognize. I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be a mask, but I’m only guessing at it’s origins. <shrug>
