So… they were aware enough to use three different bird images and have the wing closest to the “sun” appear more illuminated, yet still came up with this.
I live in the Sonoran High Desert and in all my decades here, I’ve never seen a buzzard willingly perch on a cactus. FWIW. Telephone poles, other trees, rocks, you-name-it, but a Saquaro Cactus? Damn no.
Yeah. And in the Indy world, who the hell can afford Alamy, anyway? It’s right up there with https://www.masterfile.com/ , where you can find some really top-notched illustrations (for licensing) but the photo work is mediocre and priced like iStockphoto or Getty. Weird-o combo.
It feels like there’s someone who doesn’t like you. I’ve seen a lot of your comments at negative 1, including several that look to me like completely neutral “here’s some information” posts.
Oh, probably somebody whose cover I’ve said something (negative) about. This appears to be a recent phenomenon, in this bulk “downvoting” shtick. I imagine I’ll survive. 😉

Wow the cow skull really sells the science fiction setting!

I think “aware” might be generous. They’re from a stock photo of three turkey vultures,
Four turkeys if you count the cover.
In that case, credit for the Sun placement? That’s all I got.
Is it me, or did they erase the ring where it intersects the cactus, not realizing that ring is created by the camera lens.
in the original stock photo, the birds are on fenceposts, so there’s that.
I checked.
Buzzards do perch on cacti.
LBC tho has shown me is easy to cut and paste impossibilities.

LOl, OMG, this is a first for me! I’m a negative one! Woot! For the life of me, can’t imagine what I said in that post to warrant that!

Not just Hitch. I’ve seen several other downvotes, on other people. Weird.
