WHY? WHY oh why, author, would you deliberately use an unreadable font?
(I have something like this elsewhere. Trying to help this author that INSISTS on using this godawful font from Dafont. I do not get it. I really don’t.)
Both. The second one might be readable in a huge font size. I get that the font for this cover is supposed to be Sci-Fi, but the extra down stroke on the left (R and A) and the upstroke on the right (H, K and Y) discombobulate things.
What really gets me is that Cover #2 (the one that isn’t here) is a text-only cover. No graphics. Two color blocks–wait for it–the titles will be red on black and black on red. (sigh). Can you spell anti-aliasing?
I swear, Guys, I really tried to help this dude. But he’s hooked on that font and the colors and the color block and what can ya do?

This, BTW, is the font in question: https://www.dafont.com/arnprior.font . The one that I tried to talk this other person out of, that is. (sigh).
Maybe I am just old, but that font hurts my eyes.
Which one, or do you mean both? They both slay me.

Using an unreadable font is bad. Using an unreadable font on your made-up word with apostrophes instead of vowels is much, much worse.
Oh, yeah. this is bad and wrong in pretty much every possible way.
I find the artwork has a lot of potential….as a rough draft to be given to an accomplished artist. The text needs severe help though.
A lot of the covers on here are decent first drafts.
Is that a striped dog or a striped cat? I am so confused.
Ocelot, maybe?
