I mean…I’d rather see a plain cover like this than some of the cringe-worthy hand-drawn and colored by a three year old stuff you’ve posted here… but yeah.

The blurb is terrible too. And the Look Inside is broken, so I can’t sample it to see if the one and only review saying that it’s terrible and don’t waste your money (1 star) is accurate or not.

… probably is.

The look inside worked for me, and the answer is yes, it is accurate.

I got it to work.

“Her reveille lifted”

Ohdearohdearohdear. That word does not mean what you think it means, Mr. Dixon. The word you’re looking for is “reverie.”

It’s like a thesaurus vomited on the page.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA….reveille lifted.

You know, I just ran into this, interestingly, with not one but TWO Holmes pastiches, by two different men. They were littered with homonym errors. Really sucks you right out of the story, ya know?

Dearie me; even where the words are the right ones, it just … feels like someone started writing a Bulwer Lytton Awards entry and decided to carry on in the same vein.
