A little bit (Buffy). It’s something more about the position of her head, shoulders and the outstretched palm, than the actress herself. Hell, maybe they took a screencap from a Buffy episode, used the body and drew a new face on it. (Drew? 3D? I can’t tell with some like these that are close to either/both. And he seems to be a regular old stock model, right?)
Could be – would that be Rotoscoping? I don’t really know many of the terms but I know it was used in some of the animated Rankin and Bass movies. Not sure if it’s strictly for animation. Interesting stuff, I should educate myself on it – since I don’t have people who can research it for me 🙂
I have no idea. Hopefully, Nathan, our Fearless Leader, will pipe up here and educate us. I agree, there is something strongly reminiscent of Buffy Summers about that model, but…if I had to say “it’s absolutely this” to save my life, not sure I could.
I like the Escheresque way that his head being bigger than hers suggests that he’s in front of her (as does the suggestion that he’s looking AT her) but then when you scroll down to their chest area, he’s actually behind her.

The characters aren’t quite as awful as the usual pseudo-humans? I mean…that’s something, anyway.
Am I the only one seeing that metal bird from the original Clash of the Titans on that coin? Harry Hamlin in a tunic? LOL…
Good call on Harry Hamlin, but I never trust anyone in a tunic! The young lady struck me as resembling Buffy Summers.

What’s to educate? I’m pretty sure that that isn’t Sarah Michelle Gellar, though there is some resemblance.
No, you dim bulb, he was talking about rotoscoping. LOL.
Oh! No, rotoscoping is basically animation done by tracing over live-action footage (the old animated LORD OF THE RINGS is a great example).
To my knowledge, Sarah Michelle Gellar hasn’t ever been rotoscoped, but I’ll admit that I’m not the keenest scholar of her career.
I like that the hospital looks like a high rise luxury apartment building.
…there’s no text on their faces?
that’s a plus…erm…positive…well, not negative…

Maybe, dtw, he just has Big Head????
Well, everything is spelled correctly. I like that in a cover.
Seriously, we shouldn’t have to give points for correct spelling. This may be our all-time nadir.
