Y’know, those actually look like Michael Whelan dragons to my eyes. Not that lump at the end of the tail, but the rest…

Hell, yeah; they could even be me, dressed up in a dragon suit, plummeting through the sky. Nonetheless, I still say, the silhouette looks like Mike Whelan’s. Hey, Ron! Ask him!

The dragon looks like it was lifted from herecomment image

The truth is that Mike (who I have known for more than 45 years!) has done what is technically known in the profession as a shitload of dragons. They all have a generic resemblance to one another…but neither are they all identical. Some have broad wings, for instance, while others have very slender ones. And my friend Steve Hickman has also made a specialty of dragons…so it’s hard to tell exactly what inspired this one.

I could swear that I’ve seen those someplace, not as wall stickers. Dang. Nice job tracking those down, Ron!

How can he have thousands of reviews on Goodreads but can’t collect a hundred on Amazon?

Amazon is for buyers. Goodreads is for readers. Sometimes these demographics don’t overlap.
