What few seem to be improved are only so because the original was so awful that anything would be better. But that doesn’t make the remake good.

Well, as someone who’s read Honor Raconteur (what a pseudo, eh?), I gotta vote for Haggis there. I mean, Magus. She has significantly upped her cover game over the last few years and she’s going quite well. Congrats to her!
I thought at first that Honor Raconteur was the title of the book.
I gotta give her points for sheer audacity on it. I mean, Honor Raconteur? LOL. That takes a remarkable amount of self-possession to pull off, IMHO.
Well, a remarkable amount of something at any rate.
You shan’t forget it though, will you??? To my mind, that shows some smarts.
