At first, I was sure that what the kids were holding were paintbrushes and I wondered why the “writing on the wall” (titles, etc.) didn’t match the color paint. Then I realized that they’re meant to be flashlights. From which one may see (barely) a wash of light. Du’uh, didn’t think about making the title illuminated enough to be readable?
People, PLEASE, look at your covers in thumbnail, like the rest of us will see them for eternity…NOT at some ginormous full-monitor size, like nobody, EVER, sees your cover!
Really, the advice, “Look at your covers,” whether in thumbnail or not, could have saved a lot of the covers on here. “This one simple trick will keep your cover from sucking…”
Maybe you should write a book about how to self-publish!
You are so right, Zsuzsa!
“This one simple trick will keep your cover from sucking…”
That would also work as a yewtube video. You could even have real ads and stuff!
