No, but you know…there was an instinct there. The eye image is striking; the starry background and the funky font…somebody had the beginnings of a good idea (in a way…I’m never wild about the floating eye thing) and just no ability to execute it.
I’m not 10000% sure that even a really talented photo-manipulator could have made it work but s/he (whomever did this) was close with the funky wire font and the color scheme. It just needed…more training and a bit more time in design courses, to get to the point where it may have worked.
Yeah, I’m not sure what should have been done around that eye, but yes, there was a design instinct that that simply needed more help or time or experience or training or something. Too bad, really.
brittany, graphic design is not your passion

Yeah…it’s really the handling of the type that ruins what might have been a workable cover.
The art is credited to someone other than the author…but there is no way to tell whether they were responsible for the entire design.
My only real problem with the eye is that raggedy edge around it which makes the eye look like it was torn from someone’s face.

I agree that the eye and background could have been great with the right font choices. Bad font always ruins it.
The book had two authors: Written By and Brittany Ziegler.
