Who is recovering and reprinting classic Andre Norton? I would like to punch them in the head a few times. Not for the reprint, but for that travesty of a cover.
Plague Ship is a good read, one of my favorites of hers.

See now, I had not heard of this book or author – LBC – providing laughs and learning!

Andre Norton is one of the greats in science fiction and fantasy. She has an impressive list of titles. Check used book sites, though. She was most prolific in the 1960s through 1990s.

I have read some of her books, not this one. The cover suggests some sort of merchant naval story, rather than the usual sci-fi she was famous for.

The cover lies. It’s a space merchant ship that picks up an unknown disease. It’s been a while since I’ve read it. I should go pull it off my shelf and read it again. Good story.

Gotta live the 1996-style text hyperlink look of her name.

At first I thought this was a look alike pseudonym (remember Steven King?) ripping off a classic Norton title for a book about a plague carrying oil tanker.

I hope this is not a legitimate reissue of Norton’s backlist, this cover is tripleplusungood. This is sad, like clueless Kindle repubs of Gutenberg PD texts.

We have sadly had a few cases of reissue that brought us to tears.
