The cover designer just could NOT resist the temptation to put the sky-colored (golden) text on the blue dress and the blue dress-colored text on the beige shirts. Couldn’t resist and thus, blew the entire cover. What a shame.

The W snakes behind the guy’s arm and the D wraps behind the horses in the background (as Myk pointed out).
Those letters are Lovecraftian.
But then what would the horses play with?
