There’s something about the perspective on this cover that makes me dizzy if I look at it for more than a few seconds. It’s not by any stretch one of the worst covers on here, but it is one of only a handful that makes me literally want to vomit.

After spending far too long in trying to figure out just what in the world the cover is supposed to be depicting, I gave up and went to the book’s Amazon blurb.
Oh. It’s supposed to be a vast pit, like an endless sinkhole, with some sort of invaders from inside the earth being involved.

A pit that floats above the tower blocks?
The whole thing is totally screwy.
I initially thought it was an asteroid hurtling toward the earth because of that.
