I just don’t think that this one deserves to be here. There’s nothing really wrong with the artwork. (I would have, had it been a project of mine, asked the artist to use some lightening, around the claws, so that they didn’t get lost in the rock, but…hey.) It’s hard, most days, to disagree with your choices, but this one? Not so much an LBC. IMHO, of course.
You — whah? Seriously? You don’t think the artwork is an ungodly piece of middle-school tripe, gussied up with digital texture to (fail to) hide the inadequacies?
Compared to what we typically see here? Sure, it’s not sophisticated and it’s hardly commercial, but…I’m sorry, it’s just not the usual level of BAAAD. And the person who drew the were has some skill that will, I tend to think, develop over time. Yes, yes, I know, take away my LBC membership. I suck.
You know, old buddy? It’s entirely possible. I shall have to ward myself against this; I might find myself accepting wholly non-viable cover designs at the office. Zoiks and egad! I don’t think I fully considered the true dangers here….(looks around anxiously…)
