I might also offer that this qualifies for the Actual Title Please tag — I was a little confused, the title on top says Assassins and Liars, but on the bottom you have, Book 1 – Death and Deception in the Carribean.

Well, to be fair, the author may have 2-3 more in the pipeline. I mean…if you’re going to launch a series, you kinda have to plan for it from the jump, no?

True…but when the author refers to “the” series, it does sound like something preexisting…
