#2 Military Fantasy on Amazon free list???? Must be an under-served market because this covers does not scream military or fantasy. Sigh…

And over a dozen rave reviews, some from verified purchasers. For a 600+ page book. Some of the reviews seem a tad vague though, not sure what to think.

It was great to read a post apoplectic book that didn’t involve zombies. “

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH! Yup, that’s a real review.

I agree with Myk. Not sure where some of those “reviewers” came from, but they have glowing, exceedingly vague (could be applied to almost any book) reviews. If I were considering this book (post-,ahem, apoplectic isn’t really my jam), those reviews would worry me a teeny bit.

I’m not saying they’re “bought”, but I’ve come across enough of these vague five star reviews to think a lot of indy authors are perfectly okay vaporizing their credibility and cheapening the value of a five star score to bolster their ranking or profile. The same thing has made the scores on google play just about worthless. Considering that buying a good review is ILLEGAL, it blows my mind that some of these people are willing to do this.

Sorry. Rant over.
