People call the far side of the moon (the one that always faces away the earth) the “dark” side even though both the near side and the far side cycle through 14 days sunlight, 14 days darkness, for a moon day of 28 earth days.
BUT. Today I downloaded a photo by the Chinese space agency looking from the far side of the moon in mostly daylight toward the earth.
The farside of the moon doesn’t look like that. In fact, that is the near side of the moon. Unless this is an astronomical disaster story, that is just wrong.

My first thought was, “That is not the dark side of the moon.” Then I saw the prism. Kudos, good sir, for the Pink Floyd album reference.

And my tears, too.
