Hey, Nathan–I think we’re supposed to infer from the title, subtitle, tagline, and the parked, brand-new shiny pickup truck that there aren’t any cars left running, so…I guess he could be run down by a guy on a horse obeying road traffic laws. 🙂
(The shiny, brand-new parked pickup is one of the worst things about this cover. What, they couldn’t find a picture of a rusted-out wreck? Really?)

Presumably it’s the same difficulty that all those writers of Amish romances have in finding a model not caked out in makeup. Or the historical ones do in not finding characters who aren’t wearing plastic zippers.
Personally, I’m more concerned with where the second half of the truck went.
