Third generation Lakota? THIRD? Does this mean that we’re time-traveling back to the past, to the dawn of this indigenous people? I mean, THIRD generation? Truly-true?

Or is this one of those, “my great-grandmom married into the tribe and then had my granddad and then they had my mum, and that makes me a 3rd-gen Lakota” things? (I’m too afraid to ask ’bout the critters, and what generation THEY are….)

Sheeesh. Hey, Liz Warren, where are ya, babe?

I’d roll my eyes but they feel oddly squished right now.

Anyone else think the dream catcher and feathers looked like a sea turtle at first glance?

“Do you think people will get that this book is about Native Americans? Maybe I should have put a teepee on there just to be sure…”
