“Nice character portrait. Can you make into a zombie cover?”
“Sure!”
(BTW, the Amazon labels it as “A Post-Apocalyptic Harem.”)

It frightens me that “Post Apocalyptic Harem” is considered a genre. I know, “Don’t like, don’t read,” “Your kink is not my kink and that’s okay,” but it still leaves me wondering just how we got here as a species and if there’s any way back.
Being on the internet for as long as I have, this genre is the LEAST disturbing compared to the others I’ve seen.
Of all things, why is the TEXT blurry? They couldn’t take pity on us and blur the ‘demure’ cover model? No, they gotta blur the TEXT?
Maybe that’s the drop shadow and they forgot the text. I’ve blurred text to make ‘neon’ glow, or to smooth pixelation after adding effects (including on the creepy doll mockup), but I take a moment to adjust the AMOUNT of blur applied.
It looks like a Photoshop text glow, but they’ve made the glow the exact same color of the text. Which has the same effect as a blur, unfortunately.
If that’s the case, then the idiot who did that should never design another cover. Not to be harsh, but how on earth did they NOT see the problem with it?
