This cover title is probably lazy typing, but Morse code is still used by the military because it allows clear communications with low power radios.
In Morse, dot-dot (or ditty) is the letter “I”.
An ellipsis (dot-dot-dot or ditty-dit) is “S”.
For most Lousy Book Covers, the proper Morse code is
ditty-dit dah-dah-dah ditty-dit (“SOS”).

The photo would have prompted me to click or pick up the book. The awful font, text placement and boring title would have killed that instant of interest, though. Too bad….
Do you call a partial ellipsis an “ellip” ???
Nah, you call that an elloopsie.
