Beyond the assault on the eyes that is this cover, I really hate the trope that love and happiness are just illusions for kids and “grown-ups” know that everything is really awful.
Then again, I suppose, “A Fairy Tale for Teenagers Who Haven’t Grown Out of the Whiny Emo Phase” probably isn’t the sort of title that sells books.
Tropes are tropes for a reason…. 🙂
