Moreover, none of the four are a novelization of the Disney version, and the book includes a gallery of drawings various artists have done for these four classic versions; some of which are probably public domain, so the compiler didn’t need to use the ever-litigious Disney’s images on the cover.

Disney stole it in the first place reusing from the original fairly tales. They do not own the rights to the stories. They may own the rights to the image being used , I don’t know if is their image or not but all in all fine plagiarism by all involved
Deals more with disneys original business model which was to pay no royalties for anything. They used alot of older fairy tales and classical music to avoid paying out to the original creators. So in essence no not stealing however given how vigorously they protect their copyrights, this author may end up in a world of pain. In lawsuits over copyright most times the loser is determined by who runs out of money first
