Poor Alfred. What an insult, especially at the asking price. The other e-book republications of his books by the same outfit look like they’re of equal or similar “quality”. And with introductions by people like Harry Harrison, Neil Gaiman, etc…?

Bloody hell, even Bester’s getting the crap-cover ebook reissue treatment now. You wait, pretty soon it’ll be George Orwell and Margaret Attwood with jackets looking like an unartistic teenager did them in MS Paint.

Crap covers on ebook reissues does not sell to me; my first impression is someone is exploiting a P.D. version of the text.

I’m glad I could discover another author new to me – but these crap covers make the authentic author seem like they’re making specious claims about winning awards. If I hadn’t looked them up, I would have thought Alfred Bester or John Farris were just making up acclaims by known authors. That’s a whole different level of lousy covers!

Winner of the first Hugo Award for lousy covers!
