Unbelievable.

What the hell? What publisher did this? Did Heinlein enter public domain or something?

I think I know what this is. Whoever holds his copyrights probably doesn’t have the rights to the original published artwork. They want to cash in on whatever interest is there, or maintain copyright by use, but do not want to invest substantially in new cover art so they got something cheap. That’s my best guess.

Geez, almost anything would be better than this. Is it the placement of the title that makes the alien look so pornographic?! I was genuinely horrified at first.

Oh, this is just so, so wrong!

Furthermore, putting a $6.99 price tag on the Kindle edition with this abominable cover is also an insult to potential buyers…

And I infer from the Look-Inside, the book is a straight-up scan of the Del-Ray paperback. So maybe not really formatted for e-readers or phones. I hope RAH comes back to punish them tonight!

Obviously the publisher is not wanting any sales.
