Meat of a psychopath
Memoires

Not such a bad cover, save for the typo. I’d change that typewriter font, but that’s just me.

You can have memoirs or you can have memories, but you can’t have both in the same word.

Meat
of a
Memoires
Psychopath

Memoires is French for memoirs. But mixed language in a title seldom works. Using an automated translate service Eng. “Meat: memoirs of a psychopath” = Fr. “Viande: mémoires d’un psychopathe”. I like the Ger. “Fleisch: Memoiren eines Psychopathen” sounds Freudian or Gothic, reads well in a classic Fraktur font.

When did books start using the motion picture rating system? Because I have never seen an R rated book before.

A certain publisher (who has appeared on LBC before https://lousybookcovers.com/?p=424 ) uses the rating system (his idea of “adult” is my idea of Jr. High potty mouth).

It’s silly here, as though Memoires of a Psychopath would not warn off sensitive readers.

When I publish my book, I will probably provide a rating somewhere for parents to decide if their teens should read it or not. (I feel that it’s somewhere on the borderline between YA and NA. However, that will be on my website, not the cover.

At first I thought the title was “Meat.”

Then I saw the text below it, and thought the title was “Meat of a Psychopath.”

Then I saw the “Memoirs,” but had NO idea what it said. :<

Regarding ratings – If it is published in the European Union it must have a rating on the cover. A new law is going through now and publishers are adding them so not to have their covers removed later.
