Maggie’s complexion was neither pale nor tan but a shade somewhere in between. She had a delicate, oval face with a small nose, upturned at the tip. Her pink lips were thin but not too thin, and her cheekbones were oh so subtle. Her long, dark-brown hair lacked even a hint of waviness. She was by no means ugly, but she was by no means gorgeous, either. She was simply plain. No one had to paint her a picture.
