Perseaus (The Ferret Books Book 2)

I assume that every lame “per-SEE-us” pun I can think of is already in the book.

Disgusting. Not the cover but the author bragging about how great a writer she is:

“She is meticulous at stringing words together, specifically designed to entertain in a unique way. Performing magic on paper is what she calls it, and oftentimes she finds a goldmine in watching movies to perform such magic.”
The only ‘magic’ her writing resembles is “Got your nose”.

She also posted paid, sorry, sponsored reviews in the Editorial Reviews section which happen to all come from the same company.
Another black eye for self publishing.

Oh, BL, you missed the BEST part:

Biography
CC is a consultant, has a degree in business, but her role as a writer resonates who she is.

“Her role as a writer resonates who she is”? WTF? Given that she had to write that sentence herself…woe is us.

I didn’t miss it. I was too busy cringing to post it. I’m surprised she didn’t write roll as a writer.
This is why some people never improve. They proclaim themselves literary masters the first time they assemble a collection of words and become incapable of accepting even the most constructive criticism without accusing said critic of jealousy or a lack of writing ability.
I despise paid reviews because the model prevents honesty. If they give honest reviews that means most will be negative and that means desperate authors will stop paying for them.
Boy do I miss the days when people lacked the confidence to try new things.

Never knew that time came in a liquid state, but there it is. Time is running out… in droplets.

“Pia Wade isn’t out of her mind that’s for sure after the huge breakthrough proving the island wasn’t all in her head.” Punctuate, dammit.
