Señor Smarty Pantaloons and the Mystery of the Missing Teachers

Señor Smarty Pantaloons and the Mystery of the Missing Teachers

Not to worry, I’m not criticizing juvenile creators here; this was produced by elementary teachers.

If your drawing ability does not exceed my own, don’t publish an illustrated book. That goes double for publishing an angry rant about being let go disguised as a childrens’ book.

I KNEW the art looked familiar:

Here’s the synopsis for Mister Pantaloons or whatever:

“Get to know Señor Smarty Pantaloons, who comes to the rescue when strange situations occur in the town of Foxaloon. This colorful tale involves happenings at Foxaloon Elementary School, where Foxanna Powerpaws is the principal.
Created by two elementary teachers, this clever and unique story aspires to instill imagination and creativity in children of all ages.”

Aaaaaaand here’s the synopsis from the linked cover:

“This colorful, clever fantasy shows children how ridiculous and hurtful bullying is and presents it in a different perspective by having the adults bully each other. It was created by two experienced and caring teachers whose goal is to help those who have been or will be bullied. Bullying can affect all ages and is detrimental to self-esteem and self-worth.”

Unique huh…

{sigh}. If bullying were really “ridiculous,” then it wouldn’t be so hurtful, would it? Duuu-uh.

I’m starting to see why these teachers were fired.
