Proper kneeling position would have been one foot on the floor, knee bent, the opposite knee on the floor. Not both legs bent mid-thigh.

Why can’t they re-release with the original cover? I hadn’t heard of him before and found out he passed away last month. RIP, Mr. Stasheff. I ordered his book with the actual cover. They’re doing this with Piers Anthony too – the cover on my BookBub email definitely is not the one I remember from my youth!
The rights to the original artwork are often owned by the original publishers, and even if not, it may cost several hundred dollars to re-license the art from the original illustrators, which a previously successful author may not see the need for (after all, they reason, it’s their name that will sell the book, not a pretty picture).
Thanks Nathan – that makes sense. I admit, if I see a cruddy cover then it makes me suspect if the content within is legit — or if it’s a trap to make me read Empress Theresa or something!
TOP HALF:
Huh, not too bad actually. Not good, but quasi-passable.
BOTTOM HALF:
Oh god no!!! FIX THE PERSPECTIVE AND THOSE NOODLE-LEGS!!!!!!
