Amazon, huh… you mean the same place where the author can remove comments he doesn’t agree with? Y’all remember the show that was “Empress Theresa”?
Here’s a moist blurb to get ya goin’:
“Earth is desperately troubled by ecological disasters and political unrest. Five years ago, the generational star-ship, Eos–an arc in space–was constructed.
But when Leyton arrives to complete his college study of its inhabitants, he finds himself hopelessly confused. A priest with a harem of breeders? The conspiracy theories of the head technician?
Can he discover the truth, the real purpose of the ship and the plans of the powerful Victorians?”
Ech, weak. Only 119 pages too. Not sure I believe its “bestseller” claims.
I’m confused, too. An arc in space sounds like an interesting phenomenon – an arc of what?
Now, if it were just an ark, well loads of people have written about those…
Why put forth the effort to hone your craft to become a better and possibly best-selling author when you can just say you are and skip all that work? Based on the LITB the book is unreadable. 119 pages, but that’s with blank lines between every paragraph.

The “Amazon UK/US Best Seller 2018” blurb made me look 2 July 2018. Generational Publication date: September 7, 2017
Amazon.com US (Amazon.co.uk UK ) Best Sellers Rank:
#71,661 Paid in Kindle Store
#160 in Books>Science Fiction & Fantasy>Science Fiction>Steampunk
#181 in Kindle Store>Kindle eBooks>Science Fiction & Fantasy>Science Fiction>Steampunk
#1485 in Kindle Store>Kindle eBooks>Literature & Fiction>Action & Adventure>Science Fiction
Bestsellers Rank:
#122,257 Paid in Kindle Store
#246 in Kindle Store>Books>Science Fiction & Fantasy>Science Fiction>Steampunk
#316 in Books>Fiction>Science Fiction>Steam Punk
#1710 in Kindle Store>Books>Literature & Fiction>Action & Adventure>Science Fiction
FWIW the second set was the Amazon.co.uk UK rankings 2 Jul 2018.
I still wonder what the rankings will be 7 Sep 2018 a full year after release. The use of Best Seller and Best Selling Author on the cover make me curious. Along with some other traits.
Never knew space was so green.

Typos in Amazon book blurbs always amaze.
If you proofread anything, proofread the advert most readers see first.
“Ranked #1 Best Seller in three categories (UK/US rankings March. 2018).”
With only 7 customer reviews? Total BS! Maybe topped a free category for all of 5 seconds (with the help of a click-farm).
“With only 7 customer reviews?”
Yeah I noticed that too! Are Amazon reviews region-locked or are all of them displayed regardless of where you live? Cause if it’s the latter… ouch.
7 reviews in Amazon US. Only 4 reviews in Amazon UK. Supposed to be “best sellers” in both markets. I think not.
Sorry, but obvious BS claims like this really piss me off.
7 reviews on Amazon Canada, here. We may be simple beaver hunters, but we happen to enjoy good books.
This is not one of them. And no need to apologize, it IS complete bull.
The seven reviews on Amazon Canada, France and Germany are just the seven Amazon.com US reviews. Canada does recognize good books after all.
Book doesn’t show up on Librarything.
Four reviews on Goodreads: one is the same person who’s one of the four reviewers on Amazon UK. Of the other three, there’s a two-star and a one-star.
So, calling yourself a best-selling author and/or pasting fake awards onto your cover don’t always work?!?
“999/1000 doctors recommend Camel cigarettes”
– Real/fake thing from the 50s, probably
