I hate to tell the author/cover artist/artist, but you typically can’t see someone’s entire tongue when you run into them. If I do, to be honest, I kinda run the other way.
Although I guess, if you have another head growing out of your shoulder (MIB II, anyone?), having a weird soft palate isn’t your biggest concern. Ya know?
I’m not sure who is more offended by whose deformities: The woman with her eyes too close together and atrophied arms and shrivelled fused fingers, or the facially disfigured conjoined twins. I guess the woman standing behind is a carer for one party or the other.
