So, THAT’S why you shouldn’t use “spooky” fonts on a book unless it’s a joke or for little kids.
Also, it makes me wonder if “Gary Strangeway” is a pseudonym.

I can’t tell if it was deliberate or an artifact but the smoke ghost is awesome. If only they didn’t ruin it with the text and poorly placed translucent silhouette.
