Dorothy’s Daydreams of Oz

Dorothy’s Daydreams of Oz

Somehow, combining these two franchises always ends up being less than the sum of its parts.

Eastern Kansas has some hilly parts. If you google images of eastern Kansas, that background wouldn’t look out of place among them.

I wouldn’t blame her for moving from Em and Henry’s farm on the Kansas plain; fewer problems with tornadoes.

So does Dorothy. She went blonde and looks a bit taller.

And she’s dressing like Aunt Em. What did she do with the girlish blue gingham jumper with puffed sleeved top? If she skips down the yellow brick road, she has to do it gingham style. It’s tradition!

Maybe the second franchise Nathan is referring to is Old Yeller.

The inaccuracies of the image choices aside, this is a good example of lazy cut and paste ruining a composite. Had they simply color corrected to make them appear as a single image it would have helped a lot. The cartoon-y typeface/font doesn’t help.

The hair is an obvious cutout. I wonder what hair the woman in the blue dress had originally?
