Well, on the bright side, the fact that the book is about “flesh golems” does at least explain the pseudohumans. If the idea was that said golems fell into the lowest part of the uncanny valley and made any actual human who saw them want to run screaming…well, mission accomplished.

For some unfortunate reason, the phrase “A flesh golem’s ascension explicit edition” brings to mind “In the hall of the mountain king-softcore edition,” an LBC oldie.
