I hope this is a story about a Frankenstein-style monster, because the features in that “face” do not fit together the way they’re supposed to. Clearly this is a monster who’s been cobbled together from an assortment of mis-matched parts.
This would be much better if they darkened out those lips… then darkened out that odd eye. I think the shirt is a bit bright as well, so a little darkening on that would be helpful. I think those red letters could be darkened a bit, and that odd font… so that leaves us with…
A completely black cover. Yes, that would be better.

Agreed. While the wax lips are definitely odd, the angle of the pasted-on eye is truly disturbing.
