Am I the only one having trouble figuring out the wing on the kneeling grey dragon?

Nope. And Nathan, no, it’s not. That thing up there hardly looks recognizable. If you keep this up, you’ll need to rename that tag into pseudohumans and creatures.

What are your opinions on the red font? Kinda works, but I’m not sure.

I agree. It’s not horrible… but it’s jarring somehow.

The red font, that is. But – the fact that we are trying to decide means it’s not working.

Yeah, that’s usually the case with things. But for some reason I’m always expecting someone will convince me it’s working. Mostly regarding my writing. I think I’ve just decided to rewrite a chunk I was questioning, because you’re right, if I’m wondering if it’s working, it’s probably not.

The drop shadow kills that red font.

Definitely. But I’m not sure it would be much better without it. The font is just not all that special.

No, you are not. It has one more joint than normal. Makes it odd looking.

And it is “built” completely differently than the green one by the author name…

It looks like a giant bat. The head, the pose, the wings…

That’s actually a trend in dragon design. A re-interpretation if you will.

So the aim is to make the dragons as ugly as possible? And to think I used to complain about sparkling vampires.

For a moment there, I thought I was looking at a dragon that had died in a crash. “You see, the first dragon we auditioned didn’t do so well in the tryouts, so we had to bring in this second one…”

If you’re going beyond mere simulated humans for your “pseudohumans” tag, maybe you should just shorten the tag to “pseudos” for everything obviously simulated, which could also include poorly computer-generated scenery.

I can’t decide if that is a blue tinted desert area, or perhaps pancake ice?

Uh oh. What does it say that this cover is actually better-looking than a couple of my own covers?
