Y’know, here’s the thing–I love the concept of the title. I’d rework it a bit, but the artwork is simply HORRID. Why not splurge a bit, get an image of a banging pair of heels, and rock that? I found some yummy stilettos and platforms, right there on Depositphotos. Such a shame.
You know, it seems like a cute idea–having read the LITB for a few pages, but…the writing could use some experience, a bit of sophistication. I don’t mean, it has to sound like Palahniuk or Bret Easton Ellis; I mean, it needs some experience, in creating the scene, dialogue, etc.
And, of course, the covers GOTTA GO. I’m also underwhelmed with the drawings in the book.
FYI, CH Cleppit is vision impaired, yet does her own book covers and art; that’s the work of a near-blind artist. Would that people with all their fingers could type nearly so well as she draws…
At least it’s only a small fire. Or the foot and shoe of a giant.

One of the best disguises ever.

But 99% of the people who see the cover aren’t going to know that backstory — they’re just going to see poor artwork.
