Just read Chapter 1 from the Amazon preview. It’s hilarious. I *think* at least partially it’s intentionally so, though you never can tell: Comedy names. Smooshing together of US and UK style.
Like other rather lackadaisical covers that show up here, I can only think that the authors already know who is interested in this book and have no intent to sell it to a broader readership.
The lit-up tip of the nose is especially, uhm, interesting. As a professional photographer in a former life, I find stuff like this really irritating. Also low-res and poor framing, not just the lighting.
It screams snapshot with a cell phone, blown up waaaaay too much.
Low Res image and not even a hint of an author name, too embarrassed to have a name there?

I stopped reading at “Phartington.”

Nah. They’re clueless dweebs, IMHO.

Maybe it’s a selfie of the author, hence no name, and her vanity demands to use that photo, no matter how badly done.
