From the little gaps at the bottom corners, looks like the creator of this cover already rotated the photo in an attempt to straighten the horizon … they just didn’t quite get there. Another 1.5° clockwise, ’shopping in a more dynamic sky, and punchier type is all it would take to save this.

Well, at least there IS gingerbread there. It’s a Queen Anne style house and all those curly bits in the peaks and porch corners are gingerbread. However, the house isn’t a focal point on this, so small there, the gingerbread-ness is lost. Nice mock-up, dtw!

That house is a stock photo on Pixabay (spl?) and can be found used in ads, book covers, etc. Usually used better than this cover.

I have to join the chorus: great example of what could be dtw.
