The sad part is that is perfect concept art and would be great in the hands of a skilled artist because I love the concept of this cover
OK, I’ll bite, Ian–what concept? I see a noggin, but…is that supposed to be a skull, inside a scrunched spacesuit helmet? I swear, I could not make heads or tails of it. I had to sit here and stare at it for at least a few minutes to figure it out.
Sheesh.
I said it was a concept not final product. I’m assuming sci-fi/horror on mars.
but it does need more work.

@Naaman: maybe they do. Maybe there’s a contest out there, and we have simply missed it? Surely, we’d know about it, right?
It’s weird how the cover actually improves if you remove the graphic. It would still be dull, but it would at least evoke ‘Mars’.
