Where are the vegetable lasagna, green pizzas, and alfalfa-sprout sandwiches? Or the wild-painted VW microbuses and converted school buses? And Berkley? Redwoods? Houseboats? Austrian-born former governators? Gay bars? Map to stars’ homes? Map to best out-of-the-way border crossings? There’s a lot of white space here so clearly these authors fell down in their representation of all things Cali. I’m as grossly disappointed as I am grossed out by this collage catastrophe.
