The Gods are angry! They’re shooting bolts of barbed wire from the sky! And they’ve sheared off the top of that school bus!

Why is there a black helicopter something tells me this book isn’t about a government conspiracy.🙁

Military helicopters are dark, stealthy, and their ID cannot be read by ground observers (no big FAA nums like police choppers). Federal law enforcement get military helicopters through the War on Drugs loophole to the Posse Comitatus Act.
So black helicopter could imply:
(a) the mom and kids are a drug cartel using a topless school bus for smuggling,
(b) the mom knows something the feds want covered up so they made a false drug claim to justify silencing her, or
(c) the missing dad was a military pilot.
(I’d buy (b).)

This book, with this awful cover, has 383 reviews on Amazon. Which just goes to prove that Romance readers will read anything.
Is the yellow thing supposed to be a convertible school bus with bozo lights?
What are those gigantic things poking up from the distant hills? Did Jack’s beanstalk send off some weedy offshoots?
Oh, and I’m glad that those three learned how to levitate since they all had their feet amputated.
… those gigantic things … Have you ever seen The Monolith Monsters? Those gigantic things are The Barbwire Monsters.
