So how many people are we talking about? Is there a U.S. Marshal, a guy named Shorty Thompson, and an unnamed mother? Or is Shorty Thompson the U.S. Marshal? Or is the wrathful mother a U.S. Marshal with a grudge against old Shorty?
Or is Shorty simply author Thompson’s fantasy alter ego?
You know, like a real, live Yosemite Sam?

Apparently it’s about a double murder and the theft of some ‘Morris horses’, whatever they are. Verbatim from the blurb: “They would be looking forward to, begging for a quick trip to hell just to get away before she is through.”
No color says “The Old West” like purple.
Precedent: Riders of the Purple Sage.

I can well believe it.
Morris horses? I have a mental picture of horses trained to “dance” the way Lipizzaners do, except in a Morris Dancer style.
I would so like that to be true!
It would be great wouldn’t it?
Is that Shorty’s mother haunting him from up there in the clouds?
1. “Shorty, make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you get shot.”
2. Shorty’s mama is so hairy, when she goes into the woods Bigfoot takes pictures of her.
