From the same email address:
Hello my name is [redacted]. My sons (12 &13 yrs old), have been sending your company fake emails using this account. They were about ready to send out another when I caught them in the act. Sorry about that, won’t happen again. Both boys have had their internet access taken away for a week. Have a nice day.

There was way too much vitriol and most 12/13 year olds have better grammar than Gertrude. Color me skeptical.
And they’d have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for that meddling parent.
I’d call this email fake – as a way for ‘Gertrude’ to bow out.
Fake or not, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for this to die out. I mean it’s been funny in its way, but it was starting to develop an obsessive quality. Potentially feeding a nascent mental illness isn’t a pleasant thought to have while making jokes.
I do believe Gertrude Silvenstine (or is that Silversteen *whinny*) has had complaints before LBC.
I’m ALMOST tempted to google “Gertrude Siverstein” (is someone, somewhere actually named that?) and see what happens.
But ALMOST is the operative word here.
I wasted my time. Not a hugely popular name, there are several people named Gertrude Silverstein. Eduth found a scam report on someone using the name. Nathan could find no practicing attorneys by that name.
