Ohhh, those are wolves! I honestly couldn’t even tell at first.

Why did their need to be two wolves? Leave one out and un-squish the other one, or find a photo with two wolves in it, if its important to have both (for some reason).
It’s worse. There are 4 wolves. Two by two. The second one’s behind the first a little and the face is more in profile, and then that’s duplicated because, of course, two squished wolves isn’t enough. Four’s better.
Jeez, this is like looking at deformed inkblot tests. Whatta mess.

Book 6? There is an “Omnibus Edition” on Amazon. The cover is slightly better, but the description is yawn-worthy.

Looks like poor squished wolfie on the left, has a skull fracture that is bleeding profusely.
I keep thinking we are missing one fact – the wolfies seem to be in the shape of a silhouette. I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?
Could these be twin werewolf hunters wearing wolfie-patterned camouflage suits?

This, right from her Smashwords profile: “How do you approach cover design?
I actually enjoy making them myself! For the Uncommon Animals series, I based the covers off of Andy Warhol images. The Andy Warhol museum is in Pittsburgh, so I had a great tie-in with the setting. They’re also incredibly striking which is a definite bonus.”
Poor Wolfie. Looks like he’s being squeezed like a tube of toothpaste in a trash compactor. And twice, too.
Whatta cover fail.

Yup. She’s serious.
I finally just saw the second wolfie.
Jumpin’ Jayzus On A Pogo Stick! Even Andy Warhol would object.
“M’m! M’m! Lousy!”
