1. That’s supposed to be a mouse?
2. As Scott said, what it he doing to that leaf?!

I want to like it, but I can’t. The mouse looks sinister and not much like a mouse anyway. Plus the second part of the title is unnecessary. “A Little Mouse’s Journey” is enough. It’s a book. You should be able to assume it’s a story.
Holy cow! Not even children’s books deserve to have art this bad! Plus, think about how bad this is for children’s grades! “How many legs do mice have, little Johnny?” “Three!”
Ha, the water(?) is Frankenstein-stitched to the grass(?)! He seems to be floating in a horizon/infinity pool, so I guess for his journey he’s headed to the hot tub. (Therapy after having the limb removed, maybe?)
What is he doing to that leaf?
Are those flying commas?

He does look sinister, which only lends credence to what Scott asked.
I hope his journey is to the plastic surgery clinic where his tail will be removed from his leg, out of which it appears to be growing.
Mouse tails don’t look like that.
No, no they don’t.
Now that I think about it, he looks more like a kangaroo.
Yes! A sinister kangaroo.

“And they have feet like elephants.”

I read the sample text on Amazon. It is as well-written as the art.
That’s a mouse? Maybe to the 7-year-old who did the art. Uh, mouse tails don’t look like that. FWIW, neither do mice…
