If it weren’t false flagging, if the novel really were set in a flaming Hell, the whole thing would probably read like this:

“Waaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuggggggggghhh!!!”
“Waaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuggggggggghhh!!!”
“Waaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuggggggggghhh!!!”

Of course you got that, it’s WRITTEN on the cover. This author doesn’t have a good grasp of show, don’t tell. It’s relevant for the cover too.

The author says: My Mother is told mostly in the first-person narrative and from the author’s point of view. As usual, it seems somewhat morbid to dwell on the deaths of the year without also recognizing the births of the same year… but with extremely few exceptions (I’m a grandfather now!), we don’t know which of the millions who came into the world this year will be familiar to us by the end of...
