What’s Sooner to You is Later For Me
So then I took a look at the book’s Amazon description:
TO BE standard curriculum for ALL high school and university classrooms
a true literary classic!
written with irresistible, poetic prose-a true philosophical discourse
(unique and inspiring)
a fictional/autobiography about the meaning of life, the existence of God, and our place in this modern-day predicament called ‘the unfolding drama of the 21st Century’
90,000+ words written in the 3rd/1st person omniscient
…and I said, Yeah, he’s probably not willing to ask anyone for constructive criticism.
Probably not – and I’m not going to give him any. Books like these always make me think of people like Ted Kaczynski.
I don’t want any surprises in my mailbox, thank you.
OMG Could this be the worst cover ever presented here?
It’s definitely the worst blurb!
My first impression was that something went wrong when the author was trying to load the finished book onto Amazon’s e-book server and cover was distorted. The current Amazon version has the letters filled with blue so it is now easier to read, though still no enticing.
The blurb with the book still does not make a lick of sense.
I have a hard time believing the author received a degree in English Literature with the grammatical nightmare that is his biography.
Pheww I thought I couldn’t understand the blurb because I speak French and it was too fancy English for me. I’m relieved. 😉
I renounce my religion.
Careful everyone! I just know this is the one this month that the author is going to find on this website and come defend passionately!
::considers messaging said author just to sit back and watch the fireworks::

::reconsiders as that would mean said “author” has my email or other address…grimaces…slinks away hoping to go unnoticed::
Umm, sorry. ::blushes:: Never mind. Forget I said anything.
Bwahahahaaa! 😀
Don’t worry, Sirona – I mentioned you specifically when I emailed him, using a one-time email address, of course. He surprised me by saying he already knew all about you and had just put something in the post for you.
He also mentioned something about God telling him we are all damned and will be drowned in a sea of porcupines – whatever that means.
What’s coherent and rational to him is raving batshit crazy to the rest of the world.
Now it’s 100,000+ words. Is it a work in progress and he’s just uploading longer and longer versions as he goes along? Regardless, it cracks me up that he’s listing his word count like it’s a selling point. More words for your money! Such a bargain!
Good Lord – he gave his OWN cover quote: “Nothing can compare to this magical journey of John and the narrator’s adventures through a discussion of the complications life presents, their interesting and relevant conversations, and their ultimate conclusion that tragedy and unknowing are the most surprising, ingredients to God’s plan” HSBK
He is SERIOUSLY delusional.
Opening line, exactly as it appears:
“What we’re you saying,” John asked me?
That opening line beats the stuffing out of:
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…”
Good start…
*weeps*
Looks like he wrote it on his iPhone and it auto corrected were to we’re and he’s too clueless to know the difference.
Or how to punctuate dialog. That happened.
Reminds me of that effect seen in the movie toys, with the walls closing in like tetres blocks. Only the movie did it way better, than this barely able to see mess.
I just keep staring at the blue bar and the pixelated areas. Did someone really blow up a picture just to get THIS?
What’s Illegible to you is a Book Cover in my Warped Version of Reality
For someone who is giving us “1st person” from God, you’d think he’d have a prophet or something, not KDP. This guy is so into himself the only porn that could get him going would be starring himself. Also, I was hoping perhaps English was his second language. Alas, there is no such excuse.
Also, the only other books viewed by people who looked at this one are books featured on Lousy Book Covers.
